Scott Alan Mount

June 01, 1959 - July 19, 2021

Scott was a humble and witty son, brother, father, and Paw. He was born June 1, 1959 in Boise, Idaho and passed away on July 18, 2021 at his home in Spokane, Washington. Scott is survived by his daughters Sarah Walling (Austin) and Jenna Tracy (Jeremy); brothers Steve Mount (Linda), Dann Mount (Marsha), and Kevin Mount (Kathy. He was a fun-loving Paw to three grandsons; Mason, Caleb, and Evan. He was also the goofy uncle to many, many nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death by his parents James Roy Mount and Joyce Bartel Mount; brothers Roger Mount, Eric Mount, and Gary Mount. Scott was a proud Army Veteran, a softball player, and a gifted artist. He was skilled at working with wood, particularly making intarsia pieces as gifts for those he loved. Scott enjoyed playing games; he spent many evenings with “son” Austin playing cribbage. His happy place was out in the woods. This was especially true when he was with his lifelong friends at the Flint Freakout. He had an uncanny ability to make long road trips pass quickly with stories from his pas and unique games. Scott was frequently seen with a Pepsi “pop” in hand and sunglasses on his hat. His family will miss his chuckle that could easily turn into uncontrolled laughter by those around him. Scott leaves behind many loved ones, but we are comforted knowing he is now free from pain and reunited with his parents, 3 brothers, and his beloved dog, Herman Dammit Mount. Join family and friends in celebrating the life of Scott Alan Mount on August 15, 2021 at Bear Lake in Chatteroy, Washington. Celebration of Life to begin at 11:00AM. Potluck reception to follow. Bring a favorite dish to share! Non-alcoholic drinks will be provided but feel free to BYOB if desired.
