Ruth Edith Scott, 89, of Spokane, WA passed away with her family by her side Oct 24, 2017 at Hospice Care Center. Ruth was born to Gertrude and Alonso Clay March 9, 1928 in Delano, CA. She married the love of her life Melvin H. Scott (Scotty) March 24, 1946 in Portland, OR. - She worked at sears in Longview, WA and retired later in Spokane. She lived her faith every day. She was a very loving, caring and giving wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parent, two sisters Jean Bighill and Edna Blain, a son, Larry, two grandsons and a great granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, Scotty, her sons Ken (Linda), Lonnie (Annie) of Kelso, WA, Doug (Shirley) of Otis Orchards, WA, two daughters Karen Wolf (Larry) of Marion, LA, and Ruthann Hulme (Ninio) of CDA, ID. A daughter-in-law Jan Scott of Hayden Lake, ID and a sister Dorothy (Fred) Catlin of Yakima, WA. Also 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. - A celebration of life will be held May 12, 2018 at Uplift Church, 23424 N Swing Ln, Liberty Lake WA at 1:00 PM.
