STEVENS, MSgt. Ronald V. USMC Retired E-8 On February 16, 2014 Veteran, husband, brother and father lost his final battle, peacefully at the Hospice House of Spokane surrounded by family and friends in his last days, finally free of the pain that he endured for months. Ron leaves behind his wife, Kazuko; son, Robert; daughter, Susan; nieces and nephews; and his devoted sister, Patsy McMurtrie and her husband Mike. Ron was a very proud Retired Marine. Ron's life these recent years were full with his wonderful friends at SNAP Fitness, and his Shadle Park High School Bunko friends, who reignited their old friendships at the Shadle Park High School 50th Reunion. He was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Robert and Mary Hairston. He leaves his little kitty cat Snowball, who misses the companionship. There will be a full military service at the WA. Veterans Cemetery 10:30 Friday February 21st with a remembrance following at 11:30, in the club house of Cascade Mobile Home community, 2311 W. 16th Ave.
