Ronald Eugene Guettinger

Ron Guettinger, 70, passed away on February 18th, 2023 in Spokane Washington after a short battle with cancer.  Ron was born January 4th, 1953 in Clarkston Washington. The first born of 7 brothers and sisters to John (Jack) Lewis Guettinger and Wilma Louise Sander Guettinger. He grew up in Colton Washington and graduated from high school there. He was raised on the family farm and there learned to drive truck at the age of 14. He never looked back. He drove all over the western United States and then in 1979 made the move to Fairbanks Alaska and continued driving there for 44+ years. Ron and wife Bonnie were married on January 22nd, 1972, and celebrated their 51st anniversary last January. Ron was preceded in death by his father and mother, Paternal Grandparents Mary Jane and Albert Guettinger, Maternal Grandparents Anna and Bernerd Sander and infant brother Mark. He is survived by son Troy (Kim) of Fairbanks, Ak, Daughter Lacy (Steve) of Reno, NV, Son Tim of Spokane, WA. and chosen son Sam Pitka of Lakeville MN. Granddaughters Kendall, Kellyn (Titus), Tea and Colbey. Grandsons Matt, Sean and Cooper. Great grandchildren Rhyatt, Haven and Josie. Brothers Mike (Stephanie) and Al. Sisters Carm, Lisa (Robert) and Stacy (George) and many nephews and nieces.
