Robert Sciuchetti

July 14, 1941 - February 07, 2018

Robert “Bob” Severino Sciuchetti, 76, died February 7, 2018, in Spokane, WA. He was born July 14, 1941 in Great Falls, MT to Severino and Pauline Miles Sciuchetti. Bob graduated from Great Falls Central Catholic High School in 1959. In 1957, he began a long career in the grocery business with Albertsons in Great Falls, MT. His grocery career was put on hiatus in November 1963 when he enlisted in the United States Army serving two years. He returned to Great Falls, MT and continued working at Albertsons for many years ultimately settling in Spokane, WA. Over the years, he also worked for Darigold, Inland Market, Price Plus, Spencer’s IGA and Yoke’s Fresh Market retiring August 30, 2003. In 1970, Bob married Joyce Lauritsen Barnett. The couple had two children. Bob was an avid sports fan. Two of his proudest moments were pitching a perfect game in high school and his hole-in-one at his 30th class reunion. Bob was a Gonzaga Women’s Basketball season ticket holder for many years and loved cheering on both the women’s and men’s teams, even making the trip to the WCC tournament in Vegas several times with his children. Bob faithfully attended St. John Vianney Church and looked forward to his daily breakfast outings with his friends. He was a great father who loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. His gruff, grumbly, tough guy personality couldn’t hide his golden heart for long. And when he laughed, it was contagious. He was loved by many friends and family and just wished to be remembered as a good person and for people to say nice things about him. Bob is survived by his daughter, Robyn Sciuchetti; son, Ryan Sciuchetti (Angie); grandchildren Hailey and Landyn; his brothers Raymond (Mary) Sciuchetti, Kenneth (Connie) Sciuchetti and sister Vivian (John) Harrington along with one niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Doug Sciuchetti. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 West Wellesley, Spokane, WA. Bob’s final resting place will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lewistown, MT alongside his father and grandmother. Memorials may be made in his name to Hospice of Spokane, PO Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210.
