Patty Dale Nolen

September 10, 1942 - December 14, 2015

Patty Dale Nolen passed away on December 14th, 2015 at the age of 73. Patty was born on September 10th, 1942 in Beloit, Kansas to Dale Henningsen and Fern Sample. She graduated from Ionia High School in 1960. Patty moved to Spokane, Washington in 1969 and married her husband of almost forty years, Jim Nolen, in 1976. Jim and Patty moved to Gallatin Gateway, Montana in 1993 where they enjoyed riding horses and snowmobiling in the mountains. In 2001 they moved to Kettle Falls, Washington and moved again in 2010 to Medical Lake, Washington, both moves were made in order to be closer to family. Patty enjoyed horseback riding, snowmobiling, being outdoors and traveling to new places. She was also a member of the Back Country Horsemen of Montana. Patty is survived by her husband, Jim Nolen of Medical Lake, WA; daughters, Brenda Grimes of Medical Lake, WA and Kathy (Bill Gilbert) Grimes also of Medical Lake; her stepchildren, Connie Poelma of Hayden Lake, ID and Terry Nolen of Spokane, WA; her grandchildren, Jeremy Nolen, Robby (Jenny) Nolen, Nikki Glennon, Roxanne (Alex) Main, and Logan Herriman; as well as seven great grandchildren. Patty was preceded in death by her mother, Fern Decker who passed in 1991; her father, Dale Henningsen who passed in 1996; and her stepson, Bob Nolen. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Dec 19th at 11.30 a.m. at the Jensen Memorial Youth Ranch (Grange Hall), 620 N Stanley, Medical Lake, WA 99022.
