Mary Woodbury

January 26, 1941 - November 17, 2014

WOODBURY, Mary S. (age 73) Mary, of Spokane Valley, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2014, in her home and surrounded by her family. She was born in Ritzville, WA, on January 26, 1941, to the late Melvin & Tannis Hollenback. Mary graduated from Kahlotus High School in 1958. She married Jack Woodbury in 1967, & they lived together in the same home for 47 years. She loved spending time at their lake cabin, on Loon Lake, and spent most summer weekends enjoying the warm sunshine & waves on the shore. The s'mores, hot dogs, and many laughs shared around the campfire were among her favorites. She also loved visiting with her siblings around the kitchen table on the family farm. Mary is survived by her husband Jack & two children: Patrick Woodbury of Vancouver, WA and Kimberly Mellish of Otis Orchards, WA. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Nicole & Ashley Woodbury of Vancouver, WA. There will be no services as Mary preferred a picnic with family & friends to be held early next summer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Horizon Hospice of Spokane or the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. Community Cremation & Funeral Spokane Valley 13127 E.
