Obituary for Mary Jane Staplekamp
STAPLEKAMP, Mary Jane ""Janie"" January 15, 1921 - December 18, 2013 Lifelong Spokane resident Janie Staplekamp passed away on December 18, 2013. She was a very loving and giving person. In her early years, Janie worked for John W. Graham as the manager of the toy department. After their closure, she owned and operated Graham Office Supply with her son Gary. She was also an avid bowler. Janie loved to be on the water and sail, cruise and travel the world, especially after retirement. She enjoyed 58 long years of marriage to her husband Dean Staplekamp. She enjoyed her rose garden, her family, and Christmas time immensely. Janie is survived by her husband Dean; her son Gary Wickwire; two grandsons, David (Ari) and Jeff Wickwire; as well as her great-grandchildren Andy and Juli. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Del McBride; and her sister Ida May McDougall.
