Marjorie Mae Bacheller

December 03, 1932 - June 19, 2022

Marjorie Mae (Mudgett) Bacheller (89 years old) was born on December 3, 1932, in Sioux Falls, SD, and went home to Heaven on June 19, 2022. When she was five years old, the family moved from South Dakota to the area of Salem, OR and finally settled in Turner, OR. After high school, she attended Miltonvale Wesleyan College in Kansas. She married Rev. Douglas O. Bacheller on May 12, 1953, and together, they raised three sons. She served as a faithful pastor’s wife for over 40 years at six different churches in California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho. She played the piano, taught Sunday school, was an avid reader, and was very talented at crocheting, knitting, and needle work, which she sold many of her crafts and donated many blankets to CASA. During her lifetime, she held jobs as a secretary for the State of Oregon, a file clerk for a law firm in Portland, a bank teller in Vancouver, WA, and as a bookkeeper and price checker in Spokane, WA. Marjorie was a talented, smart, sweet, kind, positive, independent person with a sense of humor. She was a faithful servant of God, and knew where she was going and who Jesus was. She is survived by her sons David (Charis) Bacheller of Champaign, IL, Timothy (Sharon) Bacheller of Spokane, WA, and Steven (Geri) Bacheller of Otis Orchards, WA. Grandchildren Bre (Nick) Hinton, Joshua (Emily) Bacheller, Maureen (Joe) Haeger, Molly, John, and Bill Haven. Great grandchildren, Amelia Hinton, Harper Bacheller, Abe and Mikey Haeger. Sister Mildred (Don) Humber, Brother and sister-in-laws Nolan Jones, Dolores Bacheller, LeRoy (Eileen) Bacheller, Linda Folkestad (Bob Brewer), and Bernie (Kyra) Bacheller. Numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Lloyd Mudgett, mother Irma (Fishel) Mudgett, her husband of 65 years, Rev. Douglas O. Bacheller, Sister-in-law Ruth Jones, and brother-in-law Alan Bacheller. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 23rd at 10 a.m. at Living Hope Community Church, 16607 E Broadway Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99037 In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Living Hope Community Church
