Kevin James Lantry, 65, of Spokane, Washington died on July 2, 2023 from COPD.
Kevin was born in Spokane, grew up in Southern California and later resided in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. While in Texas, he started his own business as a master tile setter and contractor. His favorite tile job was at the home of Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan.
Kevin and his longtime partner Jan built their home on a beautiful 5-acre property. After Jan passed away from leukemia in 2003, Kevin’s health began to decline. He returned to Spokane in 2009 where he resided for the remainder of his life.
His favorite pastimes were fishing, golf, baseball, and watching Turner Classic movies. Some of his fondest memories were of spending time at Kings Lake every summer with his siblings and his parents at his Grandma Pearl’s cabin.
Kevin was giving of his time and talents and was a loving brother and a loyal friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. His kind, warm and giving spirit was a light in our family and in this world.
A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane, P.O. Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210-2215.
