Jose Bairos Carvalho

October 16, 1950 - February 07, 2022

Jose (Joe) Bairos Carvalho born October 16th, 1950, in St. Michael, Santa Maria Portugal to Jaime Carvalho and Maria Da Ascencao Carvalho. Joe passed away February 7th, 2022, after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. Joe lived in Portugal until the age of 18, when he and his family moved to Massachusetts. Joe met Mary Lafreniere in 1973 and they were married in 1978. Joe and Mary moved to the Spokane area in 1977 and moved to Medical Lake where they have lived of the past 45 yrs. Joe worked for St. John Hardware for many years, before retiring in 2016. Joe is preceded in death by his mother, father, Ashley Howard (son-in-law) and Brian Denio (grandson). Joe is survived by Mary Carvalho (wife), Gary Carvalho (son), Stephanie Carvalho (daughter), Jessica Howard (daughter), and Jennifer Cole (daughter), and sons-in-law Kenneth Cole and Nikkia Denio, two brothers Altino and Tony and four sisters Marilda, Deolinda, Dilia, Neves and numerous friends and extended family. Joe was an amazing grandfather to his grandchildren: Kristin, Nicholas, Sabrina, Xaylia, Samantha, Nathan, Devin, Cleora, Abigail, Amaya and four great grandchildren. Joe loved camping and fishing at Snag Cove and Westport, especially with his best friend Hank Pelella. A burial service will be held February 17th, 2022 at 2pm at the Medical Lake Cemetery 21419 W Thorpe Rd, Medical Lake, WA 99022.
