October 14, 2001 - June 07, 2021
Born on October 14th, 2001, in Spokane, Washington, Jordan Anthony John Walker, also known as Anthony Lautermilch, passed away in a deadly accident on Highway 395, just south of Loon Lake on June 7, 2021. He was a passenger in a car that collided with a firetruck, killing all 3 teenagers in the car. Jordan Anthony was a big dreamer who always had big plans for his future. He was also impulsive, which meant his future plans changed often. One of his dreams was to attend college and get a Bachelor’s degree so he could counsel troubled kids to help them find a better path than he had. He was charming – kind, polite, with a big heart and was usually smiling despite choices that left him struggling in life. He always said, “I love you” and gave you a hug when he parted ways with family, and we always told him we loved him in return. He was also an artist, practicing graffiti art and making signs for his family. He loved nature – always looking for signs of wildlife in the woods, collecting feathers, and making dreamcatchers. A close friend of our family nicknamed him “The Boy Who Loved Feathers” when he heard of his passing. A perfect nickname for a child who also loved aspects of Native American Culture and the symbolism of the dreamcatcher. Anthony Lautermilch was placed with his biological mother’s brother’s family at 2 months old and was formally adopted by the Walker family when he was 2 years old. His name was legally changed from Anthony John Lautermilch to Jordan Anthony John Walker at his adoption hearing, in late 2003. Jordan Anthony was preceded in death by his half-sister, Ashlynn Lautermilch, and his grandfather, John Lautermilch. He is survived by his biological parents, Lisa Lautermilch and Gino Kovar, six half-siblings, and 2 biological siblings, Alma and Audrey Lautermilch as well as Alma’s infant daughter, Hazel. He is also survived by his adoptive mother, Jamie Walker, adoptive father, Larry Walker, and 2 older adoptive sisters, Nicole, and Keliane Walker. Sadly, Jordan Anthony will never meet his niece, Nicole’s daughter who is due to be born 2 weeks after what would have been his 20th birthday in October of this year. A memorial service is currently being arranged at Shadle Park Presbyterian Church on August 26th at 1:00pm, with Danny Green to officiate.
