Born November 4, 1923 to Neil and Laura Brown in Saskatchewan, Canada; died of natural causes May 13, 2014. He lived in Spokane, Washington at the time of his death. He married Leona Myott June 25, 1945 and they had four children. Ivan and Leona divorced in 1966. Ivan was an avid Ham radio operator until he was 80. He liked working with all things electronic, including computers. Ivan was a lifelong member of the Moose Lodge in Clarkston and Spokane. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Margaret Theissen and Jean Schumaker and one brother, Alan Brown. Ivan is survived by his wife Thelma and her son Ron VandeerMeer of Spokane. In addition he is also survived by his four children, Nadine Eastman of IL, Phil Brown of Lewiston, Karen Johnson of Spokane and Gwen Wormell of Lewiston. He had 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Spokane Memorial Gardens, 5909 Cheney Spokane Rd, Spokane, WA 99224.
