Hubert Isaac Townshend Jr.

July 18, 1936 - July 13, 2020

Hubert Isaac Townshend Jr. passed to his rest on July 13, 2020 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. “Bert” was born July 18, 1936 to Margaret and Hubert Townshend Sr. Five years later his younger sister Jane (Crase) was born. Bert graduated from Oroville High School in 1954, served in the United States Army National Guard, and later became a Logging Contractor and co-owner of S&T Logging. Bert was preceded in death by his late wife, Mary Ann Townshend. After retiring from logging, Bert served as a director of Butte Community Bank. He enjoyed working and riding on tractors and large equipment, fishing, traveling and his beloved dogs. Bert and his wife Debbie Townshend were married December 28, 2002 and moved to Sandpoint, ID in 2012. Bert loved the Idaho wildlife and the peaceful pace of life. Bert’s survivors are his wife, children, step-children, grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Bert loved animals, but particularly Siberian Huskies and Wolves. In lieu of flowers, his wife Debbie asks that you make a contribution in Bert’s name to either the SPCA or to Wolf Haven International in Tenino, WA – a facility that they toured and greatly admired. There will no services at this time.
