Obituary for Helen Julia Child
CHILD, Helen Julia (Age 95) Helen passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2014. She attended grade school in Red Lodge, MT. and graduated from North Central in Spokane, WA. She later met her favorite dance partner, James Child Sr. at Natatorium Park in Spokane, WA and continued the dancing for 49 years. She enjoyed the years of volunteer service at the Corbin Community Center as well as the many trips she took with the friends she met there. Helen is survived by her son James R. Child Jr. (Wanda); daughter, Bette Divine (Dan); three grandsons, Tim Divine; Brian Divine, Atlanta, GA.; Scott Child (Rebecca) Woodland, WA.; two great-grandchildren, Shawn Child and Sarah Child her favorite niece, Diana Kohler; as well as two more nieces and a nephew. She is preceded in death by her parents; John and Bertha Schneider (Maisch); and her husband of 49 years. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff at Good Samaritan Village for their loving kindness and care.
