Harold (Hal) Venice Jones was born June 23, 1934 to Benjamin Venice Jones and Winnie Keehn in Denver, CO. He passed peacefully into eternity with his Lord, Jesus Christ on April 17, 2020 at his home in Colville, WA.

Hal enlisted in the US Navy and served from 1951 to 1955 aboard the USS Laffey during the Korean Conflict.

He married his wife, Sarah M. (McKay) Jones on September 17, 1954 in Edmonds, WA.

In 1972, Hal and Sarah relocated to Colville where he was employed as a mechanic by Cole Motors and Vaagen Brothers. He retired from NW Alloys as a millwright and had plenty of time to pursue his lifetime passion for fishing.

He was an active member of the Church of God in Colville (now LifeLine Church).

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sarah. His daughter Sue (Jones) Leake and her husband Rick. His son Ben Jones. Grandchildren Rebekah Hart and her husband Trevor, Stephanie Reha and her husband Tony, Melissa Doyle and her husband Kevin, Michelle Kowalski and her husband Joe, Jeremiah Leake and his wife Larissa. Great-grandchildren including Gabrielle, Eriana, Taylor, Jorydnne, Finlee, Audrey, Harrison, Scarlett and Huntley. Harold is also survived by a large extended family of cousins, nephews nieces and countless friends.

A memorial service will be scheduled after the current events have subsided.

In honor of the excellent and compassionate care provided by Hospice of Spokane, especially Sara and Ardella, we ask that in lieu of flowers, you consider a donation to this non-profit organization.
