During WWII the family moved to Kirkland, WA. Gerald graduated from Lake Washington High School in 1953. He served eight years in the Army Reserve. He married his sweetheart, Sandy, in July of 1958 and they were blessed with two children. Gerald worked in the auto repair business. During his final years before retirement, he managed a trucking company that delivered newspapers to the eastside of the Seattle area. Gerald was very musical and was blessed with a wonderful tenor voice. His love for his Savior, Jesus Christ was reflected in his beautiful singing in many church services, funerals, and weddings. After retirement he moved to his mountain home in Cle Elum, WA and in 2000 he moved to Spokane, WA where he served as an associate pastor at Pasadena Park Nazarene Church.
He is survived by his son, Mark Van Bebber (Debby) of Spokane, WA; daughter, Carol Yuly (Gene) of Kirkland, WA; four grandchildren, Ryan Van Bebber, Darrin Van Bebber (Riley), Morgan Sherrill (Keith), Kramer Yuly (Sierra); and one great-grandson, Logan Sherrill. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Van Bebber; parents, Burley and Mrytle Van Bebber; brother, Gene Van Bebber; and sister, Cynthia Sarbiewski.
