Fern Lovella Lawlor

August 08, 1915 - December 11, 2013

LAWLOR, Fern L. (Age 98) Of Spokane, WA, formerly of Miles City, MT. Went to be with her Lord December 11, 2013. She was born in North Dakota to Roy W. and Charlotte Denniston Griggs in 1915. Fern spent her school days and happy childhood in Forsyth, MT. She then married her husband Otis Brooks and after the war owned and operated the bakery in Miles City, MT. Fern spent her life helping others through charitable organizations, as a member of 1st Baptist Church in Miles City and through personal care of others. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family in Spokane as she spent the last 14 years telling her wonderful stories. Those surviving are her sister Loma Kramer of Richland, WA; her son Richard E. Brooks of Spokane; her daughters Linda Almli of Spokane and Margaret (Rex) Morris of Maysville, OK; grandchildren Jim (Trish) Haagenson of Great Falls, MT, Jason (Norma) Almli of Sacramento, CA, Erin Sharp of Spokane, Becky Arnold of Hayden, ID, James (Sylvia) Rivard of Phoenix, AZ, Joe Rivard of Flagstaff, AZ, Jessica Morris of Maysville, OK, Lisa Loper of Paul's Valley, OK and Heather Morris of Maysville, OK; 10 great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands Otis E. Brooks and William T. Lawlor; daughter Nina Brooks Rivard and Rebecca Lawlor; her brothers Beryl and Glenn Griggs.
