Edith "Edie" Henrietta Ferguson

July 07, 1930 - October 24, 2018

Our beautiful loving mom went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 24, 2018, surrounded by family at the Spokane Hospice House. She was born July 7, 1930 to Henry & Ada Regan being the 3rd of 4 children. Edie grew up in Spokane and went to Rogers High School. In 1948, she married Robert (Bob) Sidney Ferguson and they had 5 children. She had a passion for God and she was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church. Edie loved to bake and her lemon meringue and pumpkin pies were the best. She loved to grow flowers and her yard was always very colorful in the summers. She loved the outdoors and camping with friends and family. She also liked to stop at yard sales to find a treasure or two. But the most important thing to her was family. She loved being around her family. She loved the holidays when everyone would get together. She loved reading books to her kids & grand kids. She also loved music and would sing old cowboy songs while doing housework. Her favorite to listen to was Neil Diamond. Edie battled cancer in her later years and won the fight. She was cancer-free for 19 years. Edie was such a gracious, thoughtful person. She always thought of others and what she could do to help them. She is survived by her children, Sandra Waller of Animas, NM, Dale Ferguson of Yakima, WA, Kevin Ferguson of Spokane, WA, Laurie Ferguson of Spokane, WA & Roberta Campea (Joe) of Newport, WA, always like a daughter, Susan Ferguson of Spokane, WA, a sister, Mary Frolen of Ephrata, WA, 6 grandchildren, Jolynn Weber (Roger) of Avon, MN, Mike Ferguson (Colleen) of Spokane, WA, Rick Ferguson (Abbie) of Yakima, WA, Steve Ferguson (Britney) of Spokane, WA, Chris Phipps of Spokane, WA & Stacie Phipps of Bellingham, WA, 9 great grandchildren, Luke Ferguson, Amy Ferguson, Kade Ferguson, Jace Ferguson, Ella Ferguson, Ava Ferguson, Gianna Ferguson, Alarae Ferguson, Amelia Ferguson. She will be missed by all her loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Bob, sister, Doris Dymack, and brother, Wesley Regan, sister-in-law, Patricia Regan, and niece, Linda Jicha. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the joy of knowing her. The family would like to express appreciation and thanks to Spokane Hospice for her care in the last few months. There will be a celebration of Edie’s life for family and close friends in the spring. Date is TBD.
