Donald Lynn Church

June 09, 1947 - March 22, 2018

Donald Lynn Church, age 70, passed away on March 22nd, 2018 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Don was born in Springfield, Missouri but called Washington State his home since mid-childhood when his family moved to the west side of the state. He graduated from Bothell High School, along with his twin brother, Ron and sister, Donna. Soon after he shipped out to Germany where he served two years in the military. Upon his return home, he became a Seattle Police Officer, proudly serving the citizens of King County across various departments until retiring in 1991. Tired of the drizzle and traffic, he was drawn to Spokane, where he continued serving his community by helping clients navigate one the biggest decisions in their lives: buying and/or selling a home. Over the years most of those clients became true friends as well. It was through real estate he met his wife Ronda, where he not only found a partner in work, but in life. Don touched the lives of many and found joy in everything. He left the world a better place and we will all miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife, Ronda, his brother Ron (Gayle), his sister, Donna (Leroy), his sister, Beverly, his son, Jason (Jeanine), daughter, Eryn, daughter, Hillary (Steven) and son, Holden (Colleen) as well as extended family. There will be a memorial service celebrating his life on Saturday, March 31st at 10am at New Hope Bible Church, 1445 N Argonne, Spokane Valley, officiated by Pastor Eric Hinnenkamp. All are welcome to attend. - In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made out to one of Don’s favorite organizations: - SCRAPS, Wounded Warrior Project, or Crosswalk Teen Shelter
