Dolores "Lola" Cruz Ferrozzo

January 11, 1937 - January 22, 2016

Lola was born in Agana, Guam on January 11, 1937. She went home to be with our Lord on January 22, 2016. A loving mother and homemaker, Lola was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She was a career Navy wife and took care of the household and children while Joe was called overseas. She loved her nature shows and watched her favorite show, “Jeopardy”, since its inception. She was also a sports fan who liked the 49ers and the Giants while living in the Bay Area. Over the last several years, she was a big fan of the Seahawks and Broncos. She loved crafting and putting together floral arrangements. Lola was big on fashion and loved to dress up! She was always well dressed no matter the occasion. She was big on accessories and knew how to compliment her outfit. Our fashionista! Lola also was a music lover! She introduced her kids to some good classic music of the 60’s and 70’s. Oldies, Motown, Santana, Bread, Eagles, smooth jazz, Beegie Adair among her favorites. Always had music playing in her home. Lola was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, Joseph G. Ferrozzo. Also preceding her in death was her son Rico J. Ferrozzo, and brothers Joaquin L.G. Cruz, Juan L.G. Cruz, Jose L.G. Cruz, and Vicente L.G. Cruz. Lola is survived by her son Rocky and his wife Sue, her daughter Jackie Keenan and her husband John. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Christina (John) Ihle, Chad Ferrozzo, Amber Ferrozzo, Chase (Malia) Ferrozzo, Jessica Ferrozzo, Anthony (Erika) Ferrozzo, Michael (Erin) Ferrozzo, Nicolas Ferrozzo and Kristen Keenan. She had seven great-grandchildren. Lola also had three step-grandchildren, Dillon Ziemer, Renee Ziemer, and Jordan Ziemer. She is survived by two brothers, Ambrosio L.G. Cruz, Tomas L.G. Cruz and two sisters, Connie C. Blausen and Olivia C. Abell. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Community Cremation and Funeral, 13127 E. Sprague Ave. Spokane Valley, on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 1:00pm. Pastor Seth Hickman will be officiating. Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.
