Obituary for Dawn Cox

Cox, Dawn Marie (age 68)
Dawn was born January 19, 1950 and passed August 5, 2018. She was a Spokane native, attended Shadle Park High School, and made many close friends over her thirty-eight-year employment, working in Nutrition and Food Services at Spokane Valley Hospital.
Dawn loved spending time together with her family; she was an amazing cook and created many lovely meals at home for her husband, daughters and grandchildren to enjoy over the years. She would also travel every year to the Oregon Coast with Stephen, her second husband of eighteen years, faithfully celebrating their anniversary before his illness and passing.
Dawn Marie Cox is preceded in death by her parents, her first and second husbands, Larry Aue and Stephen Cox, her brother Dale “Red” White, and her sister Dianna Diana. She is survived by her children Renee (Matt) Hepler and Jennifer Aue; her step-daughters Joslyn Cox and Danielle Butkus; her grandchildren Scott Tays, Kila Damron, Taya Hepler, and Rilee (James) Fish. She most recently met her great-granddaughter Zola Fish. Dawn is also survived by her siblings Sam (Sharon) White, Dave (Sue) White, Dee Dee (Pat) Brady, and sister-in-law Karen White.
She loved all of her family very much and will be missed greatly by all those that experienced the joy of knowing her. A Memorial Service will be held at The Good Samaritan Event Center, 17121 E. 8th Ave, Spokane Valley, August 18 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to Dawn Cox memorial fund at STCU, see Matt Hepler for details.
