July 04, 1942 - December 24, 2015
Daniel Edwin Lafser Sr. died December 24th, 2015, surrounded by family, after a short battle with cancer. He was born July 4th, 1942 in Missouri. He was raised in Seattle, where he later met and married the love of his life, Linda. They moved to Spokane in 1968 and raised their family there. Dan loved the Fourth of July. Since it was his birthday, he always had a big fireworks show. Dan was a great father who worked long hours but never missed a football game or school event; he would often go back to work after the event to finish the day’s work. Dan worked for Farmer Brother’s Coffee Company and delivered coffee and restaurant supplies in and around Spokane for about 40 years. His customers loved his sense of humor, work ethic, and customer service. After his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, taking the RV out with his family, and engaging in activities with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Linda. They celebrated 52 years together this past April. Together they raised three boys, Dan Jr. (Kathi, Jacob and Zachary) of Woodstock, GA; Tim (Rachel, Trevor and Tyler) of Post Falls, ID; and Matt (Laurie, Kaleigh and Christian) of Moses Lake, WA. Dan is also survived by his four sisters-in-law and their families, mother-in-law and his brother Max of Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane and his brother, Frank. He will be missed greatly. A private family service will be held. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to Hospice House of Spokane PO Box 2215 Spokane, WA 99210.
