Brian Paul Grizzle, age 70, passed away on February 2, 2022, at Sacred Heart Medical Center. Brian was born in Spokane, WA on January 5, 1952, to Clifton Grizzle and Kathleen (Schoenberg) Grizzle. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Christopher and Dennis. Brian attended Rogers High School in Spokane, WA. He began working as an orderly with Sacred Heart Medical Center and continued caring for patients in various departments until retiring after 30 years. Brian met Sue Hart, the love of his life, in 1968. They were married August 11, 1973, enjoying 48 wonderful years together. They raised their three children here in Spokane and as well in Deer Park where Brian built their dream home. Brian was truly dedicated to his family. His number one greatest joy was his eight loving grandchildren. Brian was so proud of each and every one of them. His other greatest joy was fishing. He was a “master of all trades.” He enjoyed hunting, going to the casino, riding his Harley, and listening to rock music. Brian also looked forward to his next louder Harley and even bigger truck and even bigger boat. Then, of course, where to store his many toys. Brian loved watching the Seahawks play. He was also entertained by cooking, nature, and DIY programs. Brian was someone you could continually count on and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Brian is survived by his wife, Susan (Hart) Grizzle, and brother Terry Grizzell. Three children and eight grandchildren also survive him: Tonya (Earl) Duenas, Logan, Parker; Shannon (Jordan) McCandless, Adam, Benjamin, Shaylee; Jason (Trisha) Grizzle, Dominick, Samantha, Connor. Brian also leaves behind numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends who he loved dearly. A special thank you to his friends and medical staff at Fresenius Kidney Care where he spent the last six years receiving dialysis. An incredibly special thank you to his amazing physician, Dr. Henry Mroch. A celebration of life will be held for friends and family March 5, 2022, at 11:00 am at Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA 99205.
