Obituary for Beverly Hubbs
Hubbs, Beverly Ann (Age 76)

In loving memory, Beverly Hubbs passed away June 28, 2018 in her residence in Greenacres, WA surrounded by her family after her courageous battle with cancer. Beverly was born to William and Tyyne (Mannila) Metso on July 26, 1941 in Cloquet, MN. The 3rd of 4 children who grew up on a small farm in Sawyer, MN, where she began her lifelong affinity for animals and gem stones (rocks). After graduating from Carlton High School (cheerleader) she moved to the LA area where she married and started a family, eventually settling in the Coeur d’Alene area. After a family separation she moved back to MN, Twin Cities, Forrest Lake for many years before returning to Spokane area. She continued with her higher education, was a waitress, a secretary, and even learned to fly a plane. She loved music, books, art, poetry, camping, creativity, thrift stores, casinos, being surrounded by friends and family and always laughing. She was involved in many social groups, writer’s groups, Facebook and was politically active. Beverly had a great sense of humor and was adored by many people. She was preceded in death by her parents and former husband Jack Hubbs. She is survived by her siblings Leslie “Les” Metso, Norma (Vernon) Zierman, Rodney ”Rocky” Metso, children Mylan “Scott” Hubbs, Jeni (Greg) Watts, grandchildren, MacKenzie and Nolan Watts, nephews Dave and Roger Zierman, niece Leslie Ann Lindahl, grandniece Lucy Lindahl. We are indebted to the dedicated diligence of her healthcare team at Deaconess oncology and the loving support of the staff at Kindred Hospice, who are all angels. There will be a private family celebration of life held at a later date.
