HATCHER, Betty Jean Betty “Jean” Hatcher went to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of April 11, 2022. She was 92 years old. Jean was born in Muscatine, Iowa in 1929. She later moved from the Midwest to the Tri-Cities area of Washington State; and remained in that area until moving to Spokane in 2006. She had two daughters, Barbara and Deni. Jean worked for the Pasco Credit Bureau for a number of years while raising her daughters. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Hatcher; father Sylvester Hagens; mother and stepfather Marie and Walt Benson; sister Maxine Farrar; and brother Robert Hagens. She is survived by her daughter Denni Zweigardt (Dennis) of Spokane, WA. She has five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Jean was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always there for her family. At her request, there will be no funeral service, but a private family burial. The family extends their gratitude to Brighton Court Assisted Living and to Hospice of Spokane for their loving care in her final days.
