Anselmo "Sal" Ogaz

Anselmo Ogaz (Sal/ Shorty) born April 21, 1939, went to be with our Lord on 5 April 2023 due to health complications. Sal was born to Porfirio and Felipa Ogaz in Chandler, Colorado. Sal graduated from Central High School in 1957 in Pueblo, Colorado and later joined the United States Airforce in 1958. He served 22 years with two tours in Vietnam and in 1980, retired as a TSGT at Fairchild AFB in Spokane. After retiring from the Airforce, Sal attended Spokane Community College where he received an AA degree in Auto Mechanics in 1982 and Carpentry and Cabinetry in 1985. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Elfreide (Rose) Ogaz. They were married for 39 years. Sal is survived by his siblings Tino Ogaz of La Puente, California; Angela Sandoval of Pueblo Colorado; Rueben Ogaz of Las Vegas, Nevada and Isabel Lopez of Pueblo, Colorado; his children Daniel Ogaz (son) of Vancouver, Washington; Christina Leal (daughter) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Antonio Ogaz (Son) of Ventura, California; Karen Cartagena (step-daughter) of San Antonio, Texas; Steven Ford (step-son) of Memphis, Tennessee and five grand-children. Sal (Shorty) will be forever missed. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 12 at 2:00 pm at Sunset Chapel 5200 W. Wellesley, Ave; Spokane, WA 99205.
