Anita Carol Farina, 59, of Spokane, Washington, passed away on Thursday February 3, 2022. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 18, 1962. Annie graduated from Round Lake Senior High School and completed some classes at Triton Community College. She was married to Rory Guy Farina on August 25, 1984. They divorced in 1994 but remained close friends later in life. Annie worked hard as a baker at the local Jewel Food Store in Lake Zurich, Illinois, for many years. She moved to Sanford, North Carolina to be with her family in 2003. After her mother passed, she became a caretaker for her elderly father. She had a passion for animals, a gardener’s green thumb, and a great love of music of many genres. Caring for everyone around her brought her joy and purpose - every human, fur creature, and fauna alike. When the opportunity arose in 2021 to move to Spokane, Washington to be close to her only grandchildren, she traveled all 2500 miles with her sister, her daughter, and her dog, Dooney. Annie leaves on her son Ryan Farina, daughter Remi Mundschenk, son-in-law Patrick Mundschenk, grandson Kai Mundschenk, granddaughter Amberle Mundschenk, sister Karen Payne, her cousins: Ricky Younger, Gina Younger, Tony Younger, Donnie Younger, and Nicky Younger, her nieces Jodie McCall and Aimee Wheeler. She is preceded in death by Rory Farina, her parents Nancy and Ralph Nicademus, sister Kimberly Payne, and nephew Tyler Wheeler.
