Survived by his wife, Jean Rovik of Spokane; children, Linda Looman, Mark Rovik, Greg Rovik, and Ruth Brown, all of Spokane; sister, Karen Larsen of Kenosha, WI; sisters-in-law, Betty Rovik and Delores Rovik, both of Kenosha, WI; thirteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Al is preceded in death by his parents, Sigurd and Olive Rovik; and brothers, Donald, Lowell, Paul, and David. Al served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was an incredible man and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 2:00 PM, at Westgate Christian Church, 7111 N. Nine Mile Rd, Spokane, WA. God has not promised skies always blue, Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through; God has not promised sun without rain, Joy without sorrow, peace without pain. But God has promised strength for the day, Rest for the labor, light for the way, Grace for the trials, help from about Unfailing sympathy, undying love.
