Cynthia L. Keller

April 26, 1943 - October 20, 2012

KELLER, Cynthia Leigh Passed away on October 20, 2012 surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Her up beat look on life will be missed by all, but we know her giggles are filling heaven with happiness and she is already planning a party with all the red hat angels. Cindy was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas where she still has wonderful friends and family and enjoyed her 50th class reunion last year where she and friends all regaled in all the wonderful memories they had created during their early lives. Cindy married John Keller in Wichita and started their 46 years together where they had two wonderful sons that brought her endless happiness. Cindy and family settled in Yakima, WA where she was active in the boys' lives never missed a sporting event they had. Cindy and John relocated after retirement to Spokane, WA. Cindy loved the time she spent with her grandsons and granddaughter. Her sons and their families meant the world to her. Cindy found her extended family in the Red Hats and loved every one of her ""sisters"" that she made in the many years she was involved. Cindy was Queen Bee for several years and took delight in the fundraisers and events she helped to organize. The events had a broad range; from fashion shows to Elvis concerts, she was so proud of all of the chapter's accomplishments and was so overwhelmed with the love and support the Red Hats gave to her throughout her illness. Cindy loved to cook and try out new recipes, delighted with each new dish she tried. She loved planning lunches and parties and giggled with each new plan she made. She also loved to travel - cruises were her favorite. She loved to craft and looked forward to her card making classes. There was not a store she did not love to look in and took great pleasure in finding a treasure that one of her family or friends would enjoy. On occasion when one of her young sons would join her shopping, Cindy always kept a peanut butter sandwich in her purse to keep the boys happy and buy a couple more hours of shopping. Cindy was a kind and sweet woman that loved to make others happy. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Mildred Rudolph. She is survived by husband, John Keller; sons Kris Keller (Michelle) and Brian Scott Keller (Barbara); grand- children Ryan, Callahan, Kylar and Katie. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at www.cff.org. A celebration of Cindy's life will be privately held
