COOK, Carol Lee (Age 78) Carol was born on June 19, 1934 in Oswego, NY to Charles and Frances French and passed away on December 1, 2012. She was a lady of logic, common sense, humor, and was always willing to lend a hand. Carol moved from New York to California at age 17 and graduated from Redondo High School in 1952. She married Robert J. Shaeffer on July 3, 1952 and then later married Ernest Cook in April of 1985. She and Ernest moved to Spokane in 1985 where Carol retired in 1992. Carol later got the volunteer bug while working at the Discovery Shop in the Garland District. She started volunteering for the Westgate NOPS which eventually merged with C.O.P.S Northwest. Carol is survived by six of her children; Cyndy Garvin (Kim), Robert Shaeffer, Richard Shaeffer, Randall Shaeffer (Christina), Ronald Shaeffer (Ann), and Christy Sumner, brother; Bill French, her sisters; Marilyn Sanders and Janice Snedden as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grand- children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Cook and her son, Michael Shaeffer. Carol will be sincerely missed by family, friends, and many in the community. COMMUNITY CREMATION SERVICE 4407 N.
