He was not great as the world defines greatness. He never won an Olympic Medal, he never wrote a hit song or won an Oscar. He never ran a business with hundreds of employees, nor did he invent a product that benefited all of mankind.
But if you count greatness as one who honors his marriage and his wife, who was involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren all through their lives, who truly loved his family and gave all for them. A man who was loyal to his friends and his employer and willing to help all who called on him. Then our dad was a great man!
Willis was born in Troy, Idaho on April 19, 1934. He grew up in Spokane, WA and attended North Central High School. He worked for McVay Brothers for over 35 years. He raised his family in the Spokane/Mead area.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Margie. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Patsy, and his four sons; Craig, Randy, David (Kathy), and John (Jennifer). Also survived by three grandchildren; Jackie Hall (Jared), Karl, and Jacob (Emely).
