Obituary for Willard Le Roy Kempe
Mr. Kempe was born to Pelle and Thea Kempe in Rockford, IL on November 11, 1933. He died on February 14, 2016 at the age of 82. He spent his early youth living in Sweden, but returned to the United States to begin schooling. After graduating from high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956. Subsequently he graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Business Administration. He originally worked in the banking industry for 7 years, but finished his working experience as a 27 year Real Estate Appraiser for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. He retired in Spokane in 1995. Will was either a current or past member of the local and national Humane Societies, Suburban North Lions Club, Deer Park Eagles, and Wandermere Golf Course Men’s Club. He was preceded in death by Sharon, his wife of 28 years, who died in 2007. He is survived by numerous other relatives who either live in the Midwest or Sweden. In accordance with his last wishes, he requests that any memorial contributions be made to either the Spokane Humane Society or Hospice of Spokane. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
