Vada was born on November 29th, 1923, in Cascade, Montana, to Henry and Pearl (Brown) Warehime, and passed away February 5, 2018. The family moved from Cascade, MT, when Vada was very young than moved to the Spokane Valley, WA,, for the majority of her life. Following her graduation from Otis Orchards High School, shd married the love of her life Claud W. Toombs, in 1943. They celebrated 44 years of marriage, Vada was preceded in death by her husband, Claude in 1987, her three brothers, Buck, Vernon and Les Warehime and her sister Gladys Whitehead. She is survived by her beloved sister, Daisy Michael; her two Sons Larry and Ron Toombs, both of Spokane Valley, WA and her daughter, Luanne (Brian) Caroon, of Otis Orchards, WA; grandchildren, Doug, Danelle, & Dean Toombs, Teresa Dightman, Heidi (John)Kuntz, Vance (Lisa) Anderson, Katrina Leise, Connie (Aaron) Ames; sixteen great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Vada went back to college in 1961 to pursue her life-long dream to become a nurse. Graduating with honors, she went to work at Deaconess Hospital for 15 years and retired from Riverview Convalesce Home after another 15 years of service, as their med nurse. In her later years she did some private duty nursing and was loved and appreciated by all her patients. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for over 61 years and was very involved and active in the church. She loved to keep her hands and mind busy with 1 crocheting, knitting and painting ceramics. Vada's family was very important to her and the Tupperware container of cookies was full for her grandkids. Claud and Vada enjoyed camping and fishing and always seemed to come home with a story that was quite entertaining. She had a special love for her home, yard and animals and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
