Trina Delphine Ray

April 21, 1961 - August 15, 2014

RAY-BANE, Trina Delphine April 21, 1961- August 15, 2014 Trina was born April 21, 1961 in Spokane, WA, to Eleanor George and James Wallace. In 1963, she and brother, Tyrone were welcomed into the Ray family in Goldendale, Washington. She became daughter to Paul and Helen Ray, sister to Paula and Lynda, joined later by sister, Tonja. She grew up in Goldendale, Washington and graduated with the class of 1980 from Goldendale High School. After graduation, Trina traveled to Australia, lived in New York City and San Francisco before returning to Goldendale to help care for her father. She met the love of her life, Bennie Bane and they married in the early 1990's at the Hitching Post in Idaho. First daughter, Tesha Marie, passed from this world at birth. Trina and Bennie then welcomed daughter, Marisa, who was followed by twin brothers, Cody and Quinn a year later. Experienced from work as dietitian from hospital work in Goldendale, she began work in the kitchen at Eastern State Hospital in 1992. She then moved to the HMH Unit where she was a MHT Tech. She thoroughly loved her job, her co-workers and her clients and reluctantly retired due to her illness in 2014. Trina was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2012 and bravely fought this until 2014. Trina was an accomplished multimedia artist, drawer, and writer. A proud member of the Colville Confederated Tribes, she excelled in beadwork and Native crafts. She was an inquisitive dabbler, and pursued many, many avenues of interests. She loved music, both playing and listening. She was an avid reader and a HUGE collector of unusual and unique things. She was an animal lover and included many pets into the family over the years. She liked to garden. She liked cooking and often hosted BBQ's at her house. She was a teacher, passing on what she learned about her culture. Above all things, she dearly loved her husband and children. She loved spending time with family and cherished friends. She was a soft spoken generous person; offering counsel with wisdom beyond her years, always ready to help, give and share material goods or knowledge. Trina is survived by her husband, Bennie and three children, Marisa, Cody and Quinn as well as a large extended family.
