Obituary for Thomas Reinhardt Hansen
“Thomas R Hansen, age 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Rockwood South Hill Retirement Community. He was born in Spokane in 1948 and was a 1966 graduate of Lewis and Clark High School as well as a lifelong resident of Spokane. In 1969, he married his high school sweetheart, Cathleen Carney. Tom created his own company and closed his business after a successful 25 years. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Cathy; two adored daughters Heather Shilley (Kevin) and Heidi Rosenberry (Patrick); and six beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas A Hansen, mother Elizabeth Hansen, and siblings Anne Martin Bartch and William Martin. Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Tom are invited to Rockwood South Hill Retirement Community, 2903 E 25th Ave, Spokane on Sunday, November 4th at 2:30pm for services and a reception to celebrate his life and share memories of this wonderful man. In lieu of flowers, please consider Tom’s love for animals with a memorial donation to the Spokane Humane Society, or a charity of your choice, in his name. Tom’s family would like to thank the Rockwood Atrium staff and Hospice of Spokane for their compassionate care."
