Theodore Francis Zent

February 05, 1958 - April 11, 2016

Theodore “Ted” Francis Zent, 58 of Spokane Valley Washington. Went Home to walk with the Lord on Monday April 11, 2016. Ted is survived by his wife of 27 years Dana L. Zent; His son Timothy A. Best and long-time girlfriend Paulamarie Tucker; His daughter Melanie L. Vosberg and Son-in-Law Travis J. Vosberg; Three Grandchildren: Cody T. Veltri, Zidkijah D. Moline, and Peyton L. Vosberg; Five brothers: Rick Zent, Bingo Baillie, Mike Sebastian, Clifford Zent, and Terry Zent; Three sisters: Beth Keesler, Susie Guardipee, and Valerie Thomas; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Ted was preceded in death by both his parents and his son Steven. Ted was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all. Ted was born February 5th, 1958 in Ione Washington, shortly after he moved to the silver valley. Ted grew up in Wallace Idaho where he attended and completed his schooling. He retired as a miner from the Asarco Mine. He married the love of his life Dana Best on April 1, 1989 in Wallace, Idaho. In the early 90’s they moved to Spokane, Washington. Where he enriched his walk with Jesus as he was a proud member of New Life Assembly of God. Ted enjoyed walks by the river with his wife where they would play kick-the-can and go on scenic drives. Ted also enjoyed playing catch, lunch and movie dates, and just hanging out with his grandchildren. He also hosted countless amounts of family BBQs, holidays and game day parties. He also enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to music, and volunteering. Ted volunteered at UGM Men’s Shelter and Recovery and The UGM Thrift Store. Ted was a very selfless man, he gave hundreds and thousands of hours back to his community with not only his volunteer work, but also as an active sponsor and mentor with AA. Ted touched many peoples’ lives and hearts.
