July 31, 1959 - June 16, 2017
Shirley, of Spokane, Washington passed away unexpectedly in her home on June 16, 2017 at the age of 57. She was born July 31, 1959 to Eddie and Charlotte (Eloise) Perin in Sandpoint, Idaho and was the youngest of five children. She attended school in Priest River from the first grade until she graduated from Priest River High School in 1977. Shirley later went on to earn a degree from the Kinman Business University. She then went to live in Fairbanks, Alaska, working at the First National Bank. For her entire life, Shirley wanted children and was blessed when that became a reality in 1990 as she welcomed Jordan and later Kaitlyn in 1995. Some of her many roles as a dedicated mother included being a baseball coach, an elementary school PTO president/vice president, a Babe Ruth Little League secretary, and a Boy Scout troop treasurer. Shirley battled several health issues that came to light in 2005, and for the remainder of her life, but fought with grace and ferocity and a stubbornness beyond words as she wanted be there for her children and granddaughter who meant everything to her. She loved sports, gardening with Jordan and Kaitlyn, and spending time with her three beloved dogs who she also considered children. Some of her best days were spent with her granddaughter Norah. Shirley is survived by her two children, granddaughter, four siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all of us until we meet again. We love you to the moon and back, Mom. Please join us for a celebration of life on Tuesday June 27th at 1:00 pm at the Sunset Chapel inside Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley. http://video.mbdkeepsakes.com/video/223164816
