Sharon A McGriff

February 19, 1943 - March 23, 2015

MCGRIFF, Sharon A. (age 72) - Sharon was born on February 19, 1943, in Fargo, ND, to Josias and Helen Baasch, and passed away on March 23, 2015, in Spokane, WA. Graduating from Wapato High School in 1961, Sharon went on to receive her Cosmetology license from Yakima Cosmetology School. She married her high school sweetheart, Ray McGriff, on June 15, 1963, and together they lived and raised their three children in Spokane. Sharon enjoyed being a homemaker, baking, canning, sewing, reading and spending time with family and friends over a nice glass of wine. Her sense of humor, quick wit, attention to detail and perfectionism will never be forgotten. Sharon is survived by her husband, Ray McGriff; children, Ray (Staci) McGriff Jr., Garret McGriff, and Shelby (Ken) Ryan; grandchildren, Alle McGriff, TJ McGriff, Cassidy McGriff, McKenzie Harsin, Justin Ryan, Miranda Harsin, and Garret McGriff Jr.; great-granddaughters, Carson McGriff and Ava Zoesch; all of Spokane; brothers, Elvin Baasch, and Marvin (Norma) Baasch; sisters, Mary (John) Principe, and Audrey Orosco; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Josias & Helen Baasch; three sisters, Darlene, Gladys and Delores; four brothers, Edward, Carl, Jim, and Tom; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life Open House on Sunday April 19, 2015, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at CenterPlace Regional Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Place, Spokane Valley, WA 99216.
