Ryan Allen Markin

May 26, 1990 - April 14, 2015

MARKIN, Ryan Allen (age 24) - Our hearts are broken over the sudden death of our dear son in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Ryan Allen Markin was born May 26, 1990 at Happy (Holy) Family Hospital. He was one of life’s long awaited miracle surprises and his arrival brought unbelievable joy to our family and friends. Ryan attended South Pines Elementary, Horizon Middle School and graduated from University High School. He loved fishing, snow skiing, waterskiing, hiking the Dishman Hills, camping and jumping into water on a hot summer’s day. He never failed to greet an animal and loved romping with the family malamutes as a boy. He worked many jobs but his favorites’ emphasized gardening and the outdoors. He worked several summers processing the day’s catch for fishermen in Ninilchik, AK, on the Kenai Peninsula. Ryan had a warm heart and gave his love freely, especially to family and friends who needed a hand. He was always willing to dig a hole, move furniture or help build a house for those he loved and admired. He had a great sense of humor and never missed a chance to say “I love you.” He was a student at Spokane Community College. He is survived by his parents, Dr. Jeff and Debbie Markin; his sister Cady Markin; and Kim Moore, the love of his life. Grandparents, Rom and Mitzi Markin and Anna Rendish, all of Spokane; Great Aunts Norma Brandt, Kooskia ID, Virginia Davis, Lafayette LA, Helen Brida, Irvine CA and Great Uncle Richard Switz, El Segundo CA. Aunts and Uncles include Mindy and John Delhomme, Dr. Patrick and Stacy Lynch, Spokane; Kim and Gary Rusth, Tacoma; Jay and Annette Markin of Reno NV and Rachel Rendish of Greenville TX. He leaves the cousins he adored: Bryony and Hanna Lynch and Chloe Delhomme, Bryan and Anna Rusth, Liam and Tavia Lynch, and Bryce and Nina Markin. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Michael Rendish. Ryan had extended family here and abroad and many friends who loved him. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 18th, at 11am at Opportunity Presbyterian Church, N. 202 Pines Rd, Spokane Valley. Memorial contributions can be made to the Dishman Hills Conservancy, 3415 S. Lincoln Drive, Spokane WA 99203. Community Cremation & Funeral Spokane Valley - 13127 E.
