RASMUSSEN, Ruth Elaine (Age 69) Ruth was born on January 25th, 1944 in Kalispell Montana to Robert Sr. and Roberta Strasburg. She was received into Glory at 5 pm, November 11th, 2013, after a 20 year long battle with cancer, holding the hands of her beloved husband Ivan and two sons Ray and Jerry. Ivan and Ruth were married June 22nd, 1963 and just shared their 50th wedding anniversary. Ruth loved her Eloika Lake Community where she lived with Ivan for the past 31 years. Ruth and Ivan bought Jerry's Landing in 1982 where they built lifelong friendships with many of their customers. In 2001 they sold the resort and built their dream home overlooking the lake they loved so much. She was a long time board member of the Eloika Lake Association and was key to many of their fundraising ventures. Ruth loved her job at Sacred Heart where she worked for many years. Above all else Ruth loved spending time with family and friends. Ruth is survived by her husband Ivan, two sons Ray (Lori) and Jerry (Laurie), four grandchildren; Tanner, Landon, Julie and Andy, brothers and sisters; Robert Strasburg (fianc�© Diane), Roberta Smith (Gordy), Jim Strasburg (sue), Rich Strasburg (Di), Helen McGarvin (Jim), Linda Smith (Chuck), and Bill Strasburg. Ruth was proceeded in death by her parents, her beloved daughter Cheryl, and her sister Rose Cook (Howard surviving).
