He was born and raised in Spokane, Washington and graduated from
Lewis and Clark High School in 1968.
Roy married Vicky in late August 1968 and had two daughters. Tricia Renee and Denice Anne.
Roy was a third generation cement contractor and was in business for 30 years. He gained many friends and associates throughout those years.
50 years ago Roy and Vicky purchased their home on the south hill. Over those years they had completely remodeled their home.
Some of his favorite hobbies were: hunting in the Blue Mountains, restoring VW Beetles, camping at his property in North Idaho, and going to the Oregon Coast with his family.
Roy leaves behind with heavy hearts his wife Vicky of 54 years, His daughters Tricia Deatherage and Denice Sloan, son in laws Steve Sloan and Robert Luke, grandchildren Andrew Roy Deatherage, Ashlyn Deatherage, Langley Sloan, Stevie Sloan, Aryn Belisle, Dyllin Sloan, Scott O’Donnell, Taylor Belisle, Taylor Matts and Levi Matheny, Great grandchildren Carter Roy Deatherage, Dean and Josh Belisle, Aller Matheny, and his best friend and apprentice Tyler Deatherage.
A celebration of life for Roy Dahlen will be held on August 25, 1:00 P.M.
at Sunset Chapel 5200 W. Wellesley Ave.
In lieu of gifts and flowers the family is asking for donations to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
