On Friday, February 26, 2021 loving husband and amazing father of three, Richard Dwayne Logerwell, passed away at the age of 59 due to complications of Stage 1 Pancreatic Cancer. Richard lived a remarkable life full of love, fun, family, and friends. Richard was born on July 31, 1961, in Portland, Oregon to Robert and Delores Logerwell (Isaacson). He grew up in Sandy, Oregon, earned his GED and joined the Air Force in 1979 before being honorably discharged 10 years later.
In 1984 Richard married Laurine McKim who he met while being stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base. He had three wonderful children, Cristine, Breanna, and Bryce; and was looking forward to meeting his first granddaughter in May.
Throughout his life Richard volunteered with multiple organizations including Boy Scout Troop 413, Sea Cadets, and the Girl Scout Valley Day Camp. He was proud of the work he accomplished while volunteering with the Spokane Lilac Festival and was President of the Lilac Association in 2016 Lilacs in Wonderland. He worked on and drove Lilac floats from 2007 Here’s to the Hero’s to 2021 Destination Spokane. He and his wife volunteered driving the floats to festivals throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Robert Logerwell. He is survived by his mother Delores Logerwell; two brothers Ron and Russ Logerwell; his beloved wife Laurine Logerwell; and three children Breanna and Bryce Logerwell and Cristine Schweiger.
