Dick had a happy childhood participating in HS band in High School. He grew up in Beaumont, TX graduated from South Park HS in 1961 and went on to graduate from Lamar State College of Technology in 1965. He joined the Navy and worked in Navy
Intelligence during the Cold War monitoring the Russians. After he retired from the Navy, he went on to work in mental health,
as a massage therapist and finished his career in the restaurant business as a Maitre d’ for high end restaurants in the Seattle area.
Dick married Ruth King on 11/13/1976 and they lived in Seattle for over 30 years before returning to Spokane to reside at
Moran Vista Senior Living. Dick was a devoted husband, and they were married for 44 years until Ruth passed in 2020. Dick was a gourmet chef and baked many fun cakes for his grandchildren’s birthdays over the years. He also
loved playing games with his extended family.
Dick always was into self-care and spent many hours working out each week at Muv Fitness South the last four
years. He will be deeply missed there!
Dick was survived by his children, Kim Crosby (Claudia), David Crosby (Irna), Gilmore Crosby (Lisa), Shari Davis (Gordon), Chirstopher Crosby (Lyn), Grandchildren, Jacob Davis (Lynsey Nault), Parson Crosby, Dao Crosby (Amanda Coon), Willow Crosby, Celeste Crosby, Melody Cabrera (Jason), Joy Cronkhite (Dylan), Matteo Crosby, and great-grandchildren, Madison and Eli Cabrera and Loki Minshall. We are holding a Zoom memorial on August 20th at 3pm
