Randy - Randall Scott Laabs - March 13, 1963 April 11, 2017 Randy Laabs died unexpectedly at his home in Mead, Washington from complications of Diabetes on April 11th. He had recently celebrated his 54th birthday. - He was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Margaret Suzanne (Peggy Sue) Benson of Post Falls in 2001; his mother, Sylvia (Joan) Laabs, also of Mead in 2014; and his father, John (Wayne) Laabs, of Spokane Valley in 2016. - He is survived by his sister, Patrice (Patty) Tobler; brother Richard (Rick) Laabs and wife, Tracy; step-mother, Karen Laabs and step-sister Kelly Purcell, all of Spokane Valley. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in the Spokane and North Idaho areas. - Randy worked as a custodian for most of his life, and was liked and well thought of by many people he met and worked with in his various accounts. He worked as a janitor for the Mead Post Office through 2016 and had several good friends there. - Randy and his dog, Harley, were active with the Zen Therapy Dog Group in North Spokane, and would visit local nursing homes every week. He had many good friends at the Francis Avenue Community Center, where the dogs would train, North Division PetSmart, and also in the staff and clients at the facilities he would visit. - Randy attended Spokane Assembly of God Church. Pastor Don Stevens will host his memorial service and join us in celebrating the life of our brother who was taken much too young. He touched many lives with his good nature and gentle spirit and will be sorely missed. Please join us. Sunday, May 7th 2017 - 5:00 pm - Spokane Assembly of God Church Multi-purpose Room - 828 W.
