Obituary for Otis James Hillman-Schoultz
Otis James Hillman Schoultz “Jimmy” “Jim” passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side on 6/7/2020. He was born in Spokane WA 9/17/1949 to Otis Hillman & Eleanor Chimienti Hillman Schoultz. His father Otis tragically passed away following a trucking accident, when he was just over a year old. He then went to live with his grandmother Kay for a few years, whom he would remain very close to. When he was approximately five years old, his mother Eleanor married Francis William Schoultz (Bill), whom would adopt him. He graduated from Shadle Park high school in 1967, where he met Shelley Greene, who he would later marry in 1972. They had two daughters together, April & Lynsey. Jim served in the Air Force Reserves from 1968-1974. Jim began his lifelong career in the family masonry business at a young age & this is where he would retire from. There are many buildings in the Spokane area & throughout the Pacific Northwest, that he had a part in constructing, which he was very proud of. In 2003 he met Marcie Cundy in Seattle, who he would later marry. He enjoyed socializing with family & friends, shopping for the best “deal”, golf, westerns & old crime shows, going to movies & restaurants, singing to music he loved, & having a good laugh, he was the greatest story & joke teller! Survived by his wife Marcie, daughters April & Lynsey, grandchildren Kyle & Madisyn & Alana (Marcie’s granddaughter), great-grandson Greyson “sonny”, sister Fran (Mark), brothers John (Becky), & Bill (Kathy), & nieces & nephew. Preceded in death by his father Otis, beloved grandmother Kay, mom Eleanor, dad William (Bill), & brother Terry. Jim, Pops, Papa, you are loved & will be missed.
