Michael Robert Coyle

May 10, 1932 - April 16, 2014

Mike was born on May 10, 1932 to Mike and Vera Coyle in Spokane, Washington. A Spokane resident all his life. He attended Grant Grade School and Lewis and Clark High School. He married Edythe H. in Dec. 1949. Mike is preceded in death by his parents Mike, Vera, his brother Kenneth and son Daniel M. Coyle. Mike retired from Kaiser Mead as a supervisor and began a career in land development and real estate. He built many homes and mobile home parks in the Spokane area. He belonged to area wildlife organizations. A life member of Inland Empire Safari Chapter, NRA, and the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council working for the benefit of animals for future generations. His hobbies were big game hunting, fishing, deer and bird feeding and volunteering as a guide at the Spokane Fish Hatchery for 6 years. Mike is survived by his wife of 64 years, a daughter Gloria (Seth), sons Bob (Susan) and David, a sister Marlene Dupree, nieces, nephews, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at St. Thomas More Church, 505 St. Thomas More Way, on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM. A reception immediately following. Private interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N Wall St, Spokane. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane, P.O. Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210.
