HENSZ, Sr. - Michael Louis - (Age 60) Michael died on April 12th at Hospice House of Spokane after a very short and sudden illness. - Born June 4th, 1955 in San Benito, TX, oldest son of Herbert and Barbara Hensz. Michael was raised in Harlingen, TX and gradu- ated from Harlingen High School, class of 1973. As an adult, Michael moved to Lafayette, LA, where he met and married the love of his life, Nancye, in October of 1979. - Michael and Nancye moved around the U.S. several times before settling in Spokane, WA and starting a small church in 1984. He never turned away anyone in need; his heart and home were always open and he was a father and friend to many. Even when no longer working as a pastor, Michael dedicated his life to the success and care of others, none more so than his children and grandchildren. - Michael is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Louis Hensz. He is survived by his wife Nancye, his mother, Barbara Hensz, his brothers Patrick and Kelly Hensz, his five children and their spouses: Michael (Christy) Hensz of Chewelah, WA, Christopher (Marjorie) Hensz of Lawrence, KS, Abigail (Devin) Sontag, Skyler (Chandra) Hensz and Timothy Hensz all of Spokane, WA, along with his three, beloved grandchildren, Kalyn Destiny and Robert Michael Hensz of Chewelah WA and Katherine Ann Sontag of Spokane - A public memorial service and celebration of Michael's life will be April 23rd, 2016 at 2:00pm Fairmount Memorial Park in the Sunset Chapel.
