Obituary for Michael Lee Campbell
Michael Lee Campbell, age 57 was born January 8, 1963 in Long Beach, California. He was the youngest son of Robert A and Barbara (Clemens) Campbell. Mike as his family called him was quiet and soft spoken. His family moved through out his childhood to several different states. At the age of 18, Mike enlisted in US Army where he spent the next 4 years and then returned home. After several years he decided to go back in the Army and was stationed in Germany and was sent to Desert Storm. Again, he returned home and could not decide his next move, so his oldest brother Steve suggested he apply at Wilcox Farms in Roy, WA. He did and became a pasteurizer at the Roy Milk Plant until a new plant in Cheney, WA was opened, and he moved to that plant. While working at the Milk facility there he met Pamela Sue Knudson. Mike and Pam eloped in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho in December 1999. They made their home out in the Nine Mile area of North of Spokane. Mike eventually left Wilcox Farms became a certified asbestos remover and was hired at Hanford in Tri Cities, WA. Pam, his wife became ill and succumb to cancer. Mike remained at the home site from then on. Mike had a love of muscle cars and once owned a Dodge Cuda. Mike was a good wood worker and once made some shutters for his brothers’ home. Mike died of natural causes and is survived by his mother, Barbara Campbell, Eugene, OR, brother Steven Campbell (Mary) of Salem, OR, sister Janet (Ron) Bestone of Phoenix, AZ, brother Scott Campbell of Spokane, WA. No service is planned at this time.
