Mark A. McCall

June 08, 1953 - May 10, 2013

Born in Joliet, Illinois on June 8, 1953, Mark lost his courageous battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at home on May 10, 2013, in Otis Orchards, WA. He graduated from Glendora High School in 1972. He was a long haul owner/operator for 25 years and loved traveling the country in his semi-truck with his dog, Dusty. He was awarded the Million Mile Accident Free award in 2000. Mark enjoyed dog training, competing in agility and obedience, fishing, water skiing and taking photographs. He was a member of Spokane Dog Training Club and Greater Spokane Shetland Sheepdog. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Mary Jane McCall. They were married in Lewiston, Idaho, on March 14, 1981. He is also lovingly remembered by his son, Jeff (Valerie) McCall of Chesapeake, VA; sister, Karen Breslin of Phelan, CA; brother, David McCall; brother-in-law, Donavon Garner of Spokane, WA; sister-in-law, Alice Gilson of Coeur dâ??Alene, ID; grandchildren, Alex and Charley McCall; nieces, Colleen Breslin, Barbara Graff, Christy Dingman; and nephew, Michael Wilfong. Mark is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Rydberg; father, Harold McCall; and step-father, Phil Dyer. A memorial service will be held May 17, 2013, at 1:00 PM, at Kaleo Church, 4904 N. Harvard Rd., Liberty Lake, WA, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Greater Spokane Shetland Sheepdog Rescue, 5506 N. Estep, Newman Lake, WA 99025, or Hospice House, 121 S. Arthur St., Spokane, WA 99202.
